I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this blog yet, to be honest. Most likely some media reviews, maybe some writing & photography of my own. It's been a while since I've written anything long-form, so we'll see how it goes.

newcomers has lots of resources about how to use Dreamwidth and where to find things you'll enjoy here. If you're coming from Tumblr, soc_puppet is posting tutorials for that angle.

The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.

That's okay. Dreamwidth is very flexible. Most people use it for long-form posting but you don't have to. Some Twitter refugees and other folks prefer short-form. Some of my posts are just a link to something interesting I found online, which is another popular post type.

Do what works for you. Explore blogs and communities, see what people are doing, and try different things to find out what you like.
